Assessing, diagnosing and prescribing appropriate methods of intervention for a diverse population of student needs has led to successful student performance academically as well as emotionally in my classroom and others.

As a parent in need of special needs services for my son, I highly recommend this group of ladies. The last couple of years my son was failing classes, getting detention for lost assignments, and showing a lot of anger and frustration in the classroom. When the special needs services got involved, they looked at his past records and report cards and observed him in classes and directed us towards having him tested for ADHD. His doctor diagnosed him and now these two work together to make sure that my son has the care he needs. My son feels wonderful about himself and school. He is receiving A’s and B’s, uplifting remarks from his teachers, and “praiseworthy” marks for attitude and behavior.

When our son started the program (Educational Therapy) it was like pulling teeth to get him to read anything. He now loves to read, in large part due to the improvement in his reading skills. His speed, accuracy, and comprehension have improved dramatically.

We have been impressed with the discipline required of the pupil during each session. We feel that this will benefit him in the long run as he is faced with difficult situations where his ability to concentrate is important.

This past year, two of my students were involved in the Educational Therapy program. I watched them make progress in so many areas! Their comprehension and thinking skills improved, as well as their organizational skills. The most exciting thing was seeing them make a connection between what they did in therapy, and what we were doing in the classroom. What a positive effect it had on their learning as they realized, “Hey, I can do this!” From a teacher’s point of view, this program works!

This program (Educational Therapy) has been a Godsend for our son. You can actually read his writing now! He can write math problems and do them on paper without confusion from lining them up correctly. He can even take notes that make sense in his classes. His grades began to improve almost immediately and he continues to do very, very well.
